The Academy of Scuba will announce that it has launched a site dedicated to mobilizing divers around the country to help with charitable foundations, events and promotions. “Divers giving back to the community” is the overarching theme. The site will coordinate multiple charitable events and fundraisers benefiting a wide spectrum of charities.
Guests from Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport museum will be on hand to tell us about an exhibition featuring the photographs of 100 ranchers whose families have been ranching in Arizona for at least 100 years. The photographer, Scott Baxter, spent mostly his money traveling all over the state for 10 years to search for these families and get them to participate. The exhibition includes over-sized, striking black-and-white photographs of ranchers from nearly every county in the state and the photographer has memorable stories associated with practically every family.
