KISS & DEF LEPPARD: Tour Starts in Salt Lake

The KISS-Def Leppard tour got under way Monday night at the USANA Amphitheatre in Salt Lake City, Utah. Each band turned in a 75-minute set, and despite playing for a mixed crowd, both acts tossed in a few songs that weren’t necessarily that popular and definitely not hits.

For Def Leppard, who opened the show, that included “Two Steps Behind” and the instrumental “Switch 625,” plus a little bit of “Beth,” the only number-one song KISS ever had, tacked onto “Hysteria.”

KISS opened with “King of the Night Time World” and also tossed in “Hide Your Heart,” “Christine Sixteen” and an old concert staple of theirs, “Let Me Go, Rock n’ Roll.”

Show number-two of the 42-city tour is Wednesday in Denver.
