ALLMAN BROTHERS: The Road Ends?
Could the Allmans Brothers Band be done at the end of the year?
That’s what Gregg Allman suggests during a new interview with Relix. When asked about the future of the band, Allman tells the magazine, “This is it — this is the end of it. 45 years is enough and I want to do something else, anyway. Everyone has their own real good perspective bands.”
Two weeks ago Allman implied the end might be near before the tribute show in his honor in Atlanta. He said he may have “instigated” the announced departures of guitarists Warren Haynes and Derek Trucks at the end of the year. The Allmans’ publicist said he has “nothing from the band” on the Relix story.
