LED ZEPPELIN: Two Page Guitars to Be Auctioned for Charities

Two rare, limited-edition Jimmy Page guitars will go up for auction starting this week. They’re part of Guitar Center’s first-ever online charity auctions, with proceeds benefiting Little Kids Rock and the USO.

The instruments are replicas, custom made by Gibson, of Page’s famous 1959 Les Paul “Number-2” guitar. They come from a series of 25 that Page had made that replicated the original — right down to the scratches and other wear. Both are individually numbered and signed, and have been played by Page.

The auctions take place on eBay starting Thursday at 7 p.m. ET and closing at the same time on Sunday, June 29th. The minimum bid is $20,000 for each guitar, and each comes with a certificate of authenticity.
