LET IT BE: Beatles Recreation Returns to North America
It features 40 songs, including “Hey Jude,” “Come Together” and “Get Back,” that were never included on any of The Beatles North American tours.
Let It Be is returning to North America this year. The theatrical concert recreation of The Beatles, which played Broadway during the summer of 2013, has since been staged in Moscow, Japan, Singapore, France, Germany, Switzerland, New Zealand as well as Britain.
A source close to the show tells us that Reuven Gershon, who won raves in New York for his portrayal of John Lennon, will be “involved” with the production.
Packing 40 of the Fab Four’s most famous songs — many of which the actual Beatles never played before live audiences — Let It Be will play Chicago, Detroit, Buffalo and Syracuse among its 11 U.S. dates. Those shows are book-ended by shows in Canada at the beginning and end of the tour.
