PINK FLOYD: 50 Years Old and Still Selling Strong
Band was the seventh best-selling artist of 2014.
This month marks the 50th anniversary of Pink Floyd, and even though they’re no longer together, they were one of the best-selling acts of 2014.
Floyd ranked number-seven on a list that was topped by Taylor Swift and included One Direction, Ed Sheeran, Coldplay, Sam Smith and Katy Perry. Pulling up the average age of the Top 10 to 38, AC/DC and Michael Jackson also made the list. Only four of the acts were 25 years old or younger.
The research was done by the IFPI Global Record Artist Chart.
