U2: Bono Cycling Injury Causes Fallon Postponement
His arm needs surgery after he goes down biking in Central Park — U2 say they’ll reschedule their week-long Tonight Show residency.
It’s been quite a scary week for U2‘s Bono.
On Wednesday, the private plane he was flying to Berlin on suddenly lost its door. Then on Sunday, he injured his arm in a bicycling accident in New York’s Central Park and will need an operation. U2 have had to postpone their week-long stint on The Tonight Show, which was due to begin this evening (Monday).
The Edge, Adam Clayton and Larry Mullen Junior have posted this statement on U2’s website:”It looks like we will have to do our Tonight Show residency another time – we’re one man down. Bono has injured his arm in a cycling spill in Central Park and requires some surgery to repair it. We’re sure he’ll make a full recovery soon, so we’ll be back! Much thanks to Jimmy Fallon and everyone at the show for their understanding.”
