U2: More Than iTunes and Broken Bones
The band has recapped 2014 on its website.
2014 was a busy year for U2, but perhaps the only things people will remember were the free release on iTunes of their new album, Songs of Innocence, in September and Bono busting himself up pretty badly in a bicycle accident in New York in November.
But other things happened in the world of U2, and the band’s website has a reminder of them called “No Ordinary Twelve Months.” It starts with the release of the song “Ordinary Love” and ends with the announcement of their 2015 tour. Highlights include winning the Golden Globe for Best Original Song for “Ordinary Love”; performing the song at the Oscars; the release of another new song called “Invisible”; plus videos, a Facebook chat and more. What is missing is Bono’s bike accident, but that was hardly a highlight.
