Bono has signed on as one of the executive producers of a new film starring Willie Nelson. Waiting for the Miracle to Come will be filmed in Luck, Texas on Nelson’s Old West film set that sits on his Hill Country ranch. The fantasy adventure film tells the story of a young girl, to be played by Australian actress Sophie Lowe, who finds a letter from her late father directing her to a goldmine in a remote area of the California desert. It’s in the desert that she meets two retired vaudeville stars, played by Nelson and British actress Charlotte Rampling, who inspire Sophie’s character.

In addition to being one of the executive producers, Bono will write a song for Nelson to sing on the movie’s soundtrack.
