MOODY BLUES: Less Than a Week Before Cruise Two
While The Moody Blues are the headliners on their second annual cruise, which sets sail next Wednesday, their support acts have been around the block a few times as well.
The list includes Roger Daltrey, Carl Palmer, The Zombies and The Little River Band. This cruise is paying tribute to the 1970 Isle of Wight Festival, which, in addition to the Moodies, featured Daltrey with The Who and Palmer with ELP, the line-up also included Jimi Hendrix, The Doors, Free, Jethro Tull, Miles Davis and many others. But for Moody Blues singer and guitarist Justin Hayward, The Who were “the biggest act on the Isle of Wight so we had to have Roger on the cruise!”
Asked if the Moodies and Daltrey will perform together on the cruise, Hayward says, “I don’t think Roger needs any help from us; he’s a legend. So I don’t know!”
The cruise sets sail from Miami with stops in Nassau in the Bahamas and Turks and Caicos.
