Many people have made mention of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame’s glaring omission of Deep Purple, and according to bassist Roger Glover, it might be too late for the Rock Hall to make it up to the band.
According to a recent interview he did with radio show, Glover said, “If they do induct us, then they’re at least 20 years too late as far as I’m concerned” and that, “if we do get in…we might just say, ‘Forget it.’”
As much as most rock fans would love to see Deep Purple get their due, is there anything more rock and roll than telling someone off like that? Perhaps they can accept the induction but not show up and send an angry letter like the Sex Pistols did in 2006.
