Eddie Vedder releasing new EP, featuring Bruce Springsteen cover, on Christmas Day

Monkeywrench/Republic Records

Eddie Vedder is celebrating the holidays with new music.

The Pearl Jam frontman is dropping a six-track EP titled Matter of Time this Friday, Christmas Day. The collection includes the previously released Vedder solo songs “Matter of Time” and “Say Hi,” acoustic performances of the PJ songs “Just Breathe,” “Future Days” and “Porch,” and a cover of Bruce Springsteen‘s “Growin’ Up.”

Vedder had premiered both “Matter of Time” and “Say Hi” last month during the Venture Into Cures benefit stream in support of people and families affected by Epidermolysis bullosa, a rare genetic skin disorder also known as EB.

The “Future Days” recording is from Vedder’s performance at the 2020 Game Awards earlier in December, while the acoustic “Just Breathe” and “Porch” versions were recorded for Amazon.

Pearl Jam released their latest album, Gigaton, in March.
