Rush singer-bassist — and huge baseball fan — Geddy Lee says people can no longer overlook the power wild cards have in the postseason.

With the World Series featuring a match up of wild card winners in the San Francisco Giants and the Kansas City Royals, Lee admits that he’s had a change of heart about baseball expanding their playoffs. Lee says, “There are many of us that are traditionalists and don’t like the wild card, but I think that one has to accept that we live in a changing world. And the game owes it to itself to keep appealing to younger people and appealing to more people to help the game survive.” Kansas City won Game Two last night (Wednesday) by a score of 7-to-2. Game Three is Friday night in San Francisco.
