SABBATH, T. REX & ROXY: Giving Back
Black Sabbath, T. Rex and Roxy Music have contributed tracks to a charity singles program.
The U.K. Secret Seven Inch program is releasing 100 copies of seven songs, with each once containing a different sleeve designed by people from around the world. They will go on sale on April 19th — Record Store Day — but people won’t know which song they’ll get until they open the package they bought. Proceeds will go to War Child, a family of independent humanitarian organizations which work together to help children and young people affected by armed conflict.
Sabbath pitched in with “Age of Reason,” T. Rex is represented with “Get it On” and Roxy’s contribution is “Virginia Plain.”
Other artists involved are Grammy-winning singer Lorde, Elbow and Massive Attack.
