KISS & DEF LEPPARD: Helping the Real Army
The two co-headliners surprised a veteran in between their sets Wednesday in Nashville.
This summer’s KISS-Def Leppard tour has a military theme, as each band hired a veteran to work with their crews, and a dollar from every ticket sold is going to the Wounded Warrior Project.
The good will continued on Wednesday at their show in Nashville, when both bands, with the help of the Military Warriors Support Foundation, gave a mortgage-free home to a Columbia, Tennessee veteran. Between the band’s sets, Army Sergeant Kevin Givens walked onstage, where he was told the good news. Prior to the show, Givens got a VIP tour of the arena and spent time with Def Leppard drummer Rick Allen, who lost his left arm in an auto accident in 1984.
The KISS-Def Leppard tour is in Atlanta tonight (Friday), followed by Charlotte and Raleigh, North Carolina on Saturday and Sunday.
