 GRAMMY PREVIEW: Macca and Stones Up for Best Rock Song  




The Grammy Awards will be handed out on Sunday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles and today we look at the nominees for the Best Rock Song, which includes three classic rock acts. They are:

“Cut Me Some Slack” – Dave Grohl, Paul McCartney, Krist Novoselic & Pat Smear from Sound City – Real to Reel
  “Doom and Gloom” – The Rolling Stones from Grrr!!!
 “God Is Dead?” – Black Sabbath from 13

And the other two nominees are:

“Ain’t Messin ‘Round” – Gary Clark Jr.

“Panic Station” – Muse

Black Sabbath won their only Grammy Award in 1999 for Best Metal Performance for “Iron Man.” The Stones’ only two came in 1994 for Best Rock Album for Voodoo Lounge and Best Music Video – Short Form for “Love Is Strong.” And McCartney took home his last one last year for Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album for Kisses on the Bottom.

The 56th annual Grammy Awards air Sunday at 8 p.m. ET/PT on CBS.
