THE BEATLES: Paul & Ringo are Grammy Bound
Paul McCartney and Ringo Starr will be on hand for this year’s Grammy Awards, which will recognize the 50th anniversary of The Beatles’ first trip to America – February 1964. They will receive a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Recording Academy on Saturday, January 26th, and will then make an appearance on the Grammy telecast the next night, Sunday, January 26th.
And, since they are in Los Angeles, there’s a good chance they’ll attend the taping of The Night That Changed America: A Grammy Salute to the Beatles on the 27th. The special is scheduled to air on CBS on February 9th, exactly 50 years after their historic first appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show.
