Deep Purple will release another concert DVD later this year, Live in Verona. It was recorded on July 18th, 2011 in the Italian city.

Jason Bonham has commented on his decision not to tour with California Breed, his trio with Glenn Hughes. Apparently it is more than just the tour, as he says, “I love those guys, but it wasn’t going to work for me. I will support them as I love the band I helped create and [my replacement] Joey [Castillo] is great. Good luck, guys.” Bonham is currently on the road with Sammy Hagar.

Ringo Starr‘s October 12th show at Snowden Grove Amphitheater in Southaven, Mississippi with his All-Starr Band has been canceled because of travel issues.

Capitol Records will release Icon: Ringo Starr and Icon: John Lennon on September 9th.

Mark Farner has commented on the death of guitarist Dick Wagner, best known for his work with Alice Cooper and Lou Reed. He says, “Dick Wagner was not only my lifelong friend, he was a maestro recognized by his peers and countless fans. He was my personal teacher who showed me the value of showmanship and the theatrical end of live performance. He’s put on quite a show right now. God rest his soul. Our prayers are with his children and family.”

KISS have posted a webisode on their website of their upcoming documentary, 4th and Loud, which looks at Gene Simmons and Paul Stanley as owners of the L.A. KISS Arena Football League franchise. The show premieres on AMC on August 12th.
