Deep Purple has another vintage live album on the way. In Concert ’72 will be out on July 1st and features a cover very similar to Machine Head, the album they would have been touring behind back in 1972.
Emerson, Lake and Palmer’s fourth album, Brain Salad Surgery, will get the deluxe reissue treatment on July 1st. This edition will feature the original album, a second disc of previously unissued music from the sessions and a 5.1 surround-sound audio DVD.
Onetime Rod Stewart touring guitarist Stevie Salas has written a book about his experiences on the road with Rod. When We Were the Boys: Coming of Age on Rod Stewart’s Out of Order Tour will be published on September 5th.
Stevie Ray Vaughan – Day by Day, Night After Night: His Early Years 1954-1982 — the first installment of Craig Hopkins’ two-volume biography of the late Texan guitar slinger — is set to be published on September 1st. Vaughan would have turned 60 this October 3rd.
