Joan Jett will be honored as the Rocker of the Year and Jake Clemons of the E Street Band will be recognized as the Big Man of the Year at the Little Kids Rock benefit October 23rd at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York. Among those who will pay tribute to Jett will be Alice Cooper, Billie Joe Armstrong, Cheap Trick, Tommy James and others. The event is being produced by Steve Van Zandt. Little Kids Rock provides instruments, teacher training and popular music-based curricula to inner-city public schools across the country.
