A plaque has been placed outside the Library Ballroom in Macon, Georgia, site of The Allman Brothers Band first paid gig 45 years ago – May 2nd, 1969.

Cars guitarist Elliot Easton has formed a band with Blondie drummer Clem Burke, Romantics singer and guitarist Wally Palmar, and bassist Andy Babiuk from The Chesterfield Kings. They are calling themselves The Empty Hearts and will release their self-titled debut album on August 5th.
