Due to a snowstorm forecast for the New York City-area on Sunday, Aerosmith drummer Joey Kramer has moved his appearance on that day at the Costco in Westbury, New York in support of his Rockin’ & Roastin’ coffee to February 22nd. His appearance at Costco on Staten Island on Saturday afternoon is still on.
After postponing his last two shows in Vienna, Virginia this week, David Crosby will perform there tonight (Thursday). But, due to a nagging cold, he has postponed his shows on Friday and Saturday in Chicago until July 21st and 22nd so he can head home to California to get some rest.
Astrophysicist Brian May will speak at the European AstroFest this Saturday in London. He will also sign copies of his astronomy books Bang! and Cosmic Tourist.
After spending the first half of the week in snowy New York, Ringo Starr is glad to be back home in Los Angeles, where he says it’s the “first time I’ve been warm for two days.”
In celebration of their Soundtrack of Summer tour, Styx, Foreigner and Don Felder have recorded a version of the Eagles’ “Hotel California,” which Felder co-wrote, for a compilation album being put together to accompany the tour.
KISS are headlining the All-Star Concert for Children Worldwide, a benefit for MendingKids.Org, which provides surgical care for children. The Valentine’s Day show will take place at the L.A. House of Blues and is being broadcast live on AXS TV at 11pm ET.
With Jay Leno leaving The Tonight Show and Jimmy Fallon getting set to take it over, Gene Simmons says Leno is “kind, charming and the hardest working man in show business.” And Paul Stanley says Fallon will “surprise everyone and knock it out of the park when he takes over.”
