Paul McCartney is rumored to be joining the bill at Jazz Fest this spring. If so, he’ll join a line-up that already includes Eric Clapton, Bruce Springsteen, Robert Plant, John Fogerty and Santana. Jazz Fest takes place between April 25th and May 4th at the New Orleans Fairgrounds.

Paul McCartney was in the audience at the Brooklyn Nets – Atlanta Hawks NBA game Thursday at the O2 Arena in London. This was Macca’s second Nets game in two months– having attended one of their games in December in Brooklyn, New York.

Former Van Halen bassist Michael Anthony will be putting in an appearance at the NAMM convention in Anaheim, California next Saturday. He’ll be stopping by both the Yamaha and Peavey Electronics booths.

Pat Benatar has canceled two shows set for next month — February 21st in Biloxi, Mississippi and the 22nd in Tampa, Florida.

REO Speedwagon have moved their February 6th show in Normal, Illinois to June 27th.

Chicago is doing a free show on January 29th at U.S. Cellular Coliseum in Bloomington, Illinois to help boost morale of the victims of the recent Midwest tornadoes.

Former KISS VP of production Kenny Anderson has died. He worked with the band from 1976 to 1982.
