Iggy Pop is lending his vocals to a new version of “I Wanna Be Your Slave,” the viral rock track from Italian band Måneskin.

The global sensation was released as a single in July following Måneskin’s win at the 2021 Eurovision Song Contest. Since its video premiered last month, “I Wanna Be Your Slave” has over 25 million views on YouTube.

The collaborative version with Pop, who declares, “Måneskin gave me a big hot buzz,” will premiere this Friday, August 6.

“It was such an honor that Iggy loved our music and wanted to work with us,” Måneskin says. “It was touching seeing him sing ‘I Wanna Be Your Slave’ live in front of us, it was very powerful to see such a big artist being so open and friendly.”

The band adds of Iggy, “We all grew up listening to his music and he inspired us to star up a band. It’s still unbelievable for us that we had the chance to get to know him and make music together.”
