PINK FLOYD: Ivy League Conference Gets Waters Debut
Pink Floyd fans will get to hear a world premiere at an upcoming academic conference about the band at Princeton University.
Floyd’s longtime producer-engineer James Guthrie will unveil his-just finished surround-sound mix of Roger Waters’s 1992 solo album Amused to Death at a just-announced playback session on April 12th (next Saturday). This additional event at the conference — called Pink Floyd: Sound, Sight, and Structure — will also have Guthrie playing and discussing his surround-sound re-mixes of The Dark Side of the Moon and Wish You Were Here. And he’ll be the keynote speaker at the conference the following day (April 13th).
