PHIL COLLINS, ADELE: No Go on Collabo?
That’s what the Genesis frontman says in a new interview.
So that Adele and Phil Collins collaboration might not see the light of day.
Back in January Collins revealed that the “Rolling in the Deep” singer had approached him about collaborating on a track for her next album. But in the new edition of Q magazine Collins says, “She got hold of me and asked if I would write with her. She gave me a piece of music to finish and at first I didn’t know if I’d failed the audition as I didn’t hear back from her. She said, ‘No, no, I’m moving house and the baby’s taking up a lot of my time, I’m not actually doing anything at the moment.’ And now I’ve heard there’s a [new album] coming out. I’m not on it, I know that.”
Collins added, “She’s a slippery little fish is Adele.”
Of course, Collins could end up being wrong since it was revealed last month that Adele’s new album was not coming out this year and that it had no set release date.
