The Allman Brothers start their final stretch of shows at New York’s Beacon Theater tonight (Tuesday).

These are make-up dates from March, when they had to pull the plug after Gregg Allman came down with bronchitis, and will bring to a close the 45-year career of the Brothers. After tonight, they’ll play Wednesday, Friday, Saturday, Monday and the finale on Tuesday, October 28th.

This year marks the 25th year of shows for the Allmans at the landmark theater, totaling more than 225 appearances.

Syracuse University’s Bandier Program Alumni Association has announced the Allman-Lehman Endowed Scholarship, named after Gregg Allman and his manager, Michael Lehman.
