LED ZEPPELIN: Lawyer Up
The band has hired counsel in its fight with Spirit over possible copyright infringement.
Led Zeppelin aren’t taking lightly the copyright lawsuit filed by against them by Spirit.
The California rockers claim that “Stairway to Heaven” is very similar to their song “Taurus.” So Zeppelin has hired a high-powered entertainment attorney who did some legal work for N ‘Sync. Helene Freeman, based in New York, was able to free the boy band from its old record label and to win dismissal of a copyright suit over pictures on concert merchandise.
Zeppelin and its label, Warner Music, have until September 22nd to respond to the suit, which was filed in the spring.
