Mark David Chapman Denied Parole For 8th Time

John Lennon‘s killer is now 0-for-8 in requests for parole.

Mark David Chapman, who shot Lennon outside his New York City apartment on December 8, 1980, has been denied parole for an eighth time by a three-member panel that still considers him a threat to society; in its denial, the panel wrote to Chapman that he “would not live and remain at liberty without again violating the law…Your actions have devastated a family and those who loved the victim.”

Chapman is serving 20-years-to-life for murdering Lennon and is permitted to apply for parole every two years, which he’ll likely do again in 2016.
