Brian May is over the moon after Queen performed at Madison Square Garden last week.
When Queen announced their tour with Adam Lambert in March at a press conference at Madison Square Garden in New York, Brian May said one of his conditions for doing the tour would be that they play the Garden as well as The Forum in Los Angeles. They did the Forum earlier this month and last Thursday it was the Garden.
On his website May writes, “That was the fulfillment if a dream tonight. Thank you New York City folks. Amazing. Bless ya. Hard to put into words how I feel. I guess I live in my head, and tonight for a moment my head is good. Grateful. Relieved. A night to remember forever. Thanks so much. I never heard so much positivity and love. It’s appreciated.”
May, who turned 67 on Saturday, also posted a photo on the site of him backstage at the Garden in 1977 with his parents.
The Queen + Adam Lambert tour moves to Boston on Tuesday before coming back to the New York City-area on Wednesday with a visit to the Meadowlands Arena, just across the Hudson River in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
