Neil Young performed in Philadelphia last Wednesday and during his set at the Academy of Music he said he would never tour again with Crosby, Stills and Nash.

The comment came about after he pointed out that the guitar he was playing was given to him by his “good friend Stephen Stills.” Someone in the audience then made a comment about CSNY to which Young said, “CSNY will never tour again, ever…but I love those guys.”

David Crosby, who last month said he was not holding his breath waiting for Young, heard about what he said in Philly and wrote on his Twitter feed, “That’s like saying there are mountains in Tibet. We know Neil … we already knew.” Asked by a fan why that is, Croz wrote, “He is angry with me.” Perhaps the anger stems from Crosby calling Young’s girlfriend, actress Daryl Hannah, a “purely poisonous predator,” adding, “He’s gonna get hurt.” Neil recently filed for divorce from Pegi, his wife of 36 years.

We reached out to Graham Nash for a comment on what Neil said on stage and he told us, “And so be it…”

The last CSNY tour was in 2006 and their last performance together was at Young’s annual Bridge School benefit last October.

The CSN camp was hoping for a tour next year in support of the recently released CSNY 1974 live box set produced by Nash.
