BILLY IDOL: His Story Is Out Today
Billy Idol‘s autobiography, Dancing With Myself, is out today (Tuesday).
The rocker born William Broad holds nothing back — he talks about all the sex, drugs and rock and roll, his moving to America when he was three, his relationship with his father, a near-death experience from a motorcycle accident and more. Idol is plugging the book this week in New York with an appearance on the Today show this morning and a signing tomorrow (Wednesday) at the Barnes and Noble on Fifth Avenue and 46th Street. On Thursday, he’ll take part in the keynote event at the CBGB Music and Film Festival, also in New York.
This is the start of a very busy run for Idol. He’ll release his first album in close to 10 years, Kings and Queens of the Underground, on October 21st. He’ll then kick off a tour on November 5th in the U.K., followed by U.S. dates starting January 21st in New Orleans. You can find the full itinerary at BillyIdol.net.
