MOODY BLUES: Lodge Is Not Laying Low

Last fall, Moody Blues bassist and singer John Lodge posted a photo on his website of himself in a studio, but provided no details. We can now tell you that he’s working on a new album, his first since his solo debut, 1977’s Natural Avenue, which he just reissued.

Lodge tells us, “I’m just really enjoying writing… Some of the [songs] are pretty much finished.” And joining him on one of the songs is former Moodies singer and flautist Ray Thomas, who retired from the band in 2002. Lodge hopes to have the album out this year.
