With Your Help, We Can Touch Two Lives At Once!

We are asking valley listeners to help support KSLX morning radio personalities Mark & NeanderPaul’s annual fundraiser ‘Operation: Pets and Vets‘ by donating to Soldier’s Best Friend.
Soldier’s Best Friend is a valley 501-c3 non-profit organization that pairs local military combat veterans affected by a traumatic brain injury (TBI) or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), with service or therapeutic companion dogs, at no cost to them.

Our Listeners Have Helped More Local Veterans Than Ever Before!

In 2021, the goal was to raise $20,000 to help cover the costs associated with pairing local military combat veterans with trained service animals, most of which are rescued from local shelters.
By the end of the program, KSLX station listeners and local business partners helped to raise over $70,000— which gave 15 dogs a new home and 15 veterans a new companion!

Why We Give Back to Soldier’s Best Friend.

What we really love about Soldier’s Best Friend is that most of the dogs chosen for training are rescues from local valley animal shelters.
By donating we are helping to save two lives at once, we are saving the veteran and we are giving a homeless dog an honorable job.
This means that two lives are given a helping hand and a newfound sense of hope for a brighter future.

Our goal is to empower Veterans to return to civilian life with dignity and independence.

Supported by our local donation partners, we plan to exceed last year’s totals and help even more valley combat Veterans.
