Bono has apologized for the iTunes giveaway of U2’s Songs of Innocence.

The band answered questions submitted via Facebook in a new video posted on their page, and one fan asked, “Can you please never release an album on iTunes that automatically downloads to people’s playlists ever again? It’s really rude.” Bono seems to take the question seriously by saying, “Oops. I’m sorry about that.” He adds, “I had this beautiful idea, [we] might have gotten carried away with ourselves. Artists are prone to that thing.”
