After having gallery shows of his photos in L.A. and New York over the summer, Blondie guitarist Chris Stein‘s latest exhibition, at the East Wing Gallery at London’s Somerset House, opened Wednesday night with a star-studded party.

Stein’s Blondie bandmate and ex-wife Debbie Harry was there — wearing a bizarre pointy-eared black face mask for much of the evening. The KinksRay Davies, Marianne Faithfull, Bob Geldof, Mary McCartney, singer Sharleen Spiteri of the Scottish band Texas and Bridget Jones author Helen Fielding also attended. Stein’s friends whose photos make up the exhibition, including The Ramones, Joan Jett, Iggy Pop, Suzi Quatro, David Bowie, Talking Heads and The B-52s, were represented by the music that played throughout the evening.

The exhibit takes place in conjunction with the recent release of Stein’s book of photography and anecdotes, Chris Stein/Negative: Me, Blondie, and the Advent of Punk, which hit number-one on Amazon’s photo book list. It runs through January 15th.
