LOVERBOY: Mike Reno Calls Radio Shack Ad “A Complete Surprise”
Mike Reno of Loverboy says “it was a complete surprise” to hear the band’s “Working for the Weekend” on Radio Shack’s Super Bowl spot.
He tells us exclusively, “We’re always getting [requests] passing by our desk. Stuff we can use for here or different movies, ’cause they’ve used our songs in a lot of movies. Nowadays, anything over seven years old, they don’t have to ask permission — of course, they do have to write a check, which is nice.”
