Bon Jovi‘s 15th studio album, 2020, drops today…

It’s the first album from Jon Bon Jovi and company since 2016’s This House Is Not for Sale. The album was originally set to come out before the band’s North American tour, but got pushed back many months because of the coronavirus. That gave Bon Jovi time to add some songs directly inspired by the pandemic, like “Do What You Can.” Jon admits that when he first announced the album’s title last year, he didn’t expect it to end up having such a weighty meaning.

Jon Bon Jovi admits that he didn’t expect the title 2020 to end up having so much meaning.

“When I came up with the album title in March of 2019, we went to Nashville to record the album. Which in retrospect was just the first batch of songs. At the time I thought that was it. It was going to be a tongue-in-cheek, kind of bumper sticker. For nothing else, it’s a political year, this sounds like a great t-shirt.”
