OZZY OSBOURNE: Allergic to Booze
A recent genome test also reveals that Sharon Osbourne is a prime candidate for Alzheimer’s.
Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne underwent genomic testing a few months ago — and they weren’t altogether thrilled with what they learned.
Sharon’s results indicate she has two of the four gene mutations that are linked to Alzheimer’s. Her father, Don Arden, had Alzheimer’s until he passed away in 2007 at age 81. Sharon tells London’s Daily Mirror, “There is nothing I can do to prevent it, nothing. People say to take cod liver oil and do puzzles and things, but then I look at people diagnosed with dementia. My father was super active mentally, and take Margaret Thatcher, Ronald Reagan… They were all so active, and that’s what really frightens me.”
Ozzy’s genetic test results didn’t raise any major red flags. But doctors did determine that he is now allergic to — of all things — alcohol.
