Mary Bridget Davies says the re-opening of is “like the reverse of kids who have to go back to school from summer break. We’re getting the band back together!” Davies plays the blues rock icon in the musical that settles into a new home beginning Thursday at New York’s Gramercy Theater. That’s about a mile away from the Broadway location where it opened last fall. Davies, the band and musicians are getting what amounts to a rare second chance to succeed in New York.
