BLONDIE, SHERYL CROW: Appearing This Fall on Ovation TV’s Song by Song
The music documentary series links songs to points in the artists’ lives and what inspired them.
Blondie and Sheryl Crow will appear on upcoming episodes of Ovation TV‘s documentary music series Song by Song.
Crow’s program will kick off the series new season in October with “Strong Enough,” “If It Makes You Happy,” “My Favorite Mistake,” and “Redemption Day” on the set-list. Then in November, Blondie’s show — featuring interviews with founding members Deborah Harry, Chris Stein and Clem Burke — will include “One Way or Another,” “Heart of Glass,” “Call Me,” and “Rapture.”
Ovation programming executive Scott Woodward calls the series “a different twist on the music documentary genre [using] the artists’ hit songs to tell the story of what was happening at that time in their lives, what inspired them to write the music and how their songs impacted their careers and popular culture.”
Johnny Cash and Dolly Parton were subjects of prior episodes. Song by Song debuted in 2012.
