STYX: JY Goes 2-For-4 in First Week NFL Playoff Picks
James Young, our NFL correspondent, went 2-for-4 in picking the Wild Card games.
Styx singer-guitarist and co-founder James “JY” Young, our NFL playoff analyst, went two-for-four in picking this weekend’s Wild Card playoff games.
On Saturday in the NFC, he successfully picked the Carolina Panthers over the Arizona Cardinals. But instead of them winning by the three points he predicted, the Jags prevailed 27-16. Carolina now travels to Seattle to take on the Seahawks on Saturday.
In Saturday’s AFC matchup, JY’s Steelers fell short to the Baltimore Ravens by a score of 30-17. Baltimore now heads to New England for a showdown with the Patriots on Saturday.
In Sunday’s AFC game, JY thought the Cincinnati Bengals would defeat the Indianapolis Colts, but it was Indy who came away with the 26-10 win. The Colts take on the Broncos in Denver on Sunday.
And in Sunday’s NFC Wild Card game, JY successfully picked the Dallas Cowboys over the Detroit Lions. Dallas now plays the Green Bay Packers on Sunday in Green Bay.
JY will be back at the end of the week to break down the Divisional Playoffs.
