Styx singer-guitarist and co-founder James “JY” Young, our NFL playoff analyst, went two-for-four in picking last weekend’s Wild Card games and is now back to break down this weekend’s Division Series.

In the early game on Saturday in the AFC he’s picking the New England Patriots to defend their home field with a victory over the Baltimore Ravens by four points.

Saturday’s late game is the NFC match-up between the Carolina Panthers and Seattle Seahawks in Seattle, and JY thinks the defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks will advance to the Conference Championship round with a an eight-point victory.

Sunday’s first game has the Dallas Cowboys heading north to the frozen tundra of Green Bay, Wisconsin to take on the Packers. JY thinks the only prayer Dallas has to win is if Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers gets knocked out of the game. He’s going with Green Bay by five points.

And the weekend’s final game has the Indianapolis Colts in Denver to take on quarterback Peyton Manning and the Broncos. JY says this is the toughest game of the weekend to call, but thinks Denver will come away with a three-point victory.

So, if JY is correct, then it will be the Denver Broncos and New England Patriots in the AFC Championship game next week and the Green Bay Packers and Seattle Seahawks in the AFC, with the winners going onto Super Bowl 49 on February 1st in Glendale, Arizona.
