GREGG ALLMAN: Drops Suit Against Bio-Pic Producers
The show will go on for Midnight Rider — now that Gregg Allman has abandoned his attempt to stop production on the troubled bio-pic about him.
Allman filed a suit last month to halt production of the movie in the wake of the death of Sarah Jones, the production assistant who was killed by a train in an on-set accident that has been blamed on decisions made by higher-ups on the crew.
Lawyers for both Allman and Unclaimed Freight Productions appeared in a Savannah, Georgia court today (Tuesday) to say that they’d reached an out-of-court settlement, but declined to reveal details. Allman’s attorney, David Long-Daniels, says his client was not present due to ill health.
