VANILLA FUDGE: Serving Up a New Serving in March
The psychedelic band will release a covers collection featuring songs from the Summer of Love.
Vanilla Fudge will pay tribute to the “Summer of Love” by releasing an album of covers from that year, 1967.
Spirit of ’67 features their spin on The Who‘s “I Can See for Miles,” The Doors‘ “Break on Through (To the Other Side),” The Spencer Davis Group‘s “Gimme Some Lovin’,” Buffalo Springfield‘s “For What it’s Worth,” The Rolling Stones‘ “Ruby Tuesday” and others, as well as a new song, “Let’s Pray for Peace.”
Singer and keyboardist Mark Stein says, “The success of Vanilla Fudge has always been based on our interpretations of songs by great artists. Our style of classic rock lives large on this effort.”
Spirit of ’67 will be out on March 3rd.
