The Beatles 1st Recording Contract Sells for $75,000

Take a deep breath!  The first record contract signed in 1961 by the Beatles has been sold at action for $75,000, according to the BBC.

“This is perhaps the most historically important Beatles document to have ever appear at auction,” says Dean Harmeyer of Heritage Auctions.

Without this contract, the Beatles may not have become involved with Brian Epstein, their manager, who helped the band achieve worldwide success.

The Beatles were only paid about $20 each for their work.
