ROBERT PLANT: On to the Next Chapter
He tells us that when he said Lullaby…And the Ceaseless Roar could be his last album, he meant “I’ve concluded one sort of rotation of my time as a singer and a guy who goes out into the planet, and I can start a new one now.”
Back in August, Robert Plant told a U.K. newspaper that his new album, Lullaby…And the Ceaseless Roar, could be his last. But that’s not quite what he meant.
We just spoke to Robert and pressed him on whether that was true, and he says what he meant is that this album signals a “homecoming… In a way I’ve concluded one sort of rotation of my time as a singer and a guy who goes out into the planet, and I can start a new one now.”
Plant has three more shows on his brief U.S. run before hitting England in November — with a more extended U.S. tour likely for next year. He’s in Chicago tonight (Thursday), Denver on Saturday and Los Angeles on Tuesday, followed by The Colbert Report on Comedy Central next Thursday.
