Three For Tuesday!

 LED ZEPPELIN: Three-For-Tuesday

The first three Led Zeppelin albums are being re-released today (Tuesday).

Remastered by Jimmy Page, Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin 2 and Led Zeppelin 3 now contain unreleased material, which Page tells us “gives a time capsule to each of those albums.”

These are the first of a reissue program that will cover all nine studio albums in chronological order. All but Led Zeppelin contain studio outtakes. That first album was recorded so quickly that there was no leftover material. But what Page used for that album’s bonus disc was an unreleased performance recorded in October 1969 at the Olympia Theater in Paris, which he feels paints a picture of where the band was at at that time. The nine-song set includes a 15-minute version of “Dazed and Confused” as well as “Heartbreaker” and “Moby Dick,” which would debut on Led Zeppelin 2 later that month.

The first three albums are available on single CDs; deluxe sets with the bonus disc; vinyl; digital; and as a box set containing the re-mastered album on CD in a vinyl replica sleeve, companion audio on CD in a card wallet, the re-mastered album on vinyl in a sleeve replicating the first pressing, a 70-plus page book and high quality prints of the original album covers, a replica of the band’s original Atlantic Records press kit and more. The first 30,000 will be individually numbered.
