RATT: Stephen Pearcy Quits
Singer Stephen Pearcy has quit RATT. In a statement released on Thursday, Pearcy said he’s quitting the band he created 30 years ago “due to the constant turmoil, unresolved business, personal attacks/threats in the public forum, and most of all, the disrespect to the fans.”
The news comes after the band canceled their appearance on the Monsters of Rock cruise in March due to the death of Pearcy’s sister.
Pearcy’s statement continued, “I’m very content and proud of the legacy and the music I’ve created. The music will live well beyond any of our lifetimes.” He adds that he will continue to make music and perform live.
Infestation, the band’s last album and first in 11 years, was released in 2010, selling just 14,000 copies in its first week and stalling at number-30 on the Billboard 200.
