Gary Glitter‘s trial on sexual crimes with underage victims has gone to the jury. According to the BBC, the disgraced glam rocker faces one count of attempted rape (of a girl not yet 10), seven counts of indecent assault and two other sexual offenses — all said to have occurred between 1975 and 1980.

Glitter, whose real name is Paul Gadd, was the first person to be arrested as part of a widening investigation of sexual offenses among celebrities. Others ensnared by it include TV host and “Tie Me Kangaroo Down, Sport” hit-maker Rolf Harris and the late TV host Jimmy Savile.
